MOVE WELL PRACTICE
Move well for life

About Move Well Practice
Hi, I'm Christine - and I help people move well for life.

For more than 13 years, I've worked with active adults who want to stay strong, mobile, and confident in their bodies as they age. My approach blends yoga, movement, strength, and targeted release work to help people feel better in their bodies now while building long-term resilience over time.

Here's the thing - I came to this work as someone who never felt like yoga was "for me." I'm strong, not especially flexible, and the first time I tried a downward dog my hands slipped right off the mat. I didn't fit the image of who yoga seemed to be designed for, and I wondered if something was wrong with me. Spoiler: nothing was wrong with me. The yoga just wasn't designed around real bodies.

That experience shaped everything about how I work. I also happen to enjoy a good steak and a glass of wine, and I'm not here to sell you an ancient philosophy. What I am here for is practical, intelligent movement that actually works for your body and your life - because I've felt the difference it makes, and I want that for every person I work with.

I work primarily with adults over 40 who are already living full, active lives and want movement that supports how they actually live, train, and recover - whether that's staying on top of your sport, keeping up with your grandkids, or simply feeling less stiff getting out of bed in the morning. This work is personalized, thoughtful, and designed around the person in front of me, not a one-size-fits-all formula.

My background includes a foundation in massage therapy and anatomy that informs everything I do - I understand how the body works, not just how it's supposed to look in a pose. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with additional training in Yin, Restorative, and Hot yoga, as well as Yoga Tune-Up Ball therapy. Over the years I've worked with thousands of bodies, and that hands-on experience is just as much a part of my toolkit as any certification.

I am located in Southeastern Massachusetts (New Bedford) and work in person with local clients and virtually with anyone, anywhere. Wherever you are - if you're looking for a personalized approach to strength, mobility, and longevity, I would love to work together.
THE MOVE WELL PHILOSOPHY
To move well is to move with awareness, adaptability, and respect for your body - not a fixed idea of what movement is supposed to look like.

Movement here is purposeful and grounded in real life. Each session is shaped by how your body feels that day while still building toward long-term strength, stability, and resilience. There's no one-size-fits-all formula, no pressure to fit a mold - just thoughtful, responsive work designed around you.

Each session integrates movement, strength, and targeted release work to support the way you move both on and off the mat - for the body you actually have, the life you're living, and the sports you love.

Over time, this approach builds genuine trust in your body. You'll notice improvements in how you move and feel, and you'll keep doing what you love as you age - with more ease and confidence than you might expect.

Move Well Practice isn't a fixed method. It's an ongoing relationship with movement that grows alongside you.
